Chest Pain & Heart Disease
I was with a group of Asian Families in London at the weekend and the subject of “how do you know when chest pain is a heart attack?” came up.
In my in box this morning was an article on the very subject. I think you will find this useful and as I have always said if you are in any doubt and the pain starts to make you feel sick and you start to perspire call 999. 1/3rd of all fatal heart attacks don’t make it to hospital on time and that number could be reduced if people reacted quicker.

How do you know when chest pain signals a heart attack? That’s the life-and-death question medical professionals have been attempting to answer for years. Unfortunately, there is still no definite way for individuals to tell on their own whether that stabbing chest pain is caused by a heart attack, indigestion, anxiety, or any number of other health conditions.
